Capsule Wardrobe Updates
You may remember me talking about an updated Autumn wardrobe and a re-discovery of my style in this post from last week, well not only did I buy myself some fab new statement culottes, I also took the opportunity to invest in some new staples.
It’s all too easy to forget the quality basics … a cashmere jumper, cotton tees and quality turtle necks, not to mention a classic jean (there’s only so many occasions I can justify my unflattering mom jeans for).
Whilst I was picking up a few statement Autumn pieces, I also picked up a couple of classics too. These dark green tinted straight leg jeans & this mustard silk / cotton yellow turtle neck were ‘basics’ my wardrobe desperately needed, the sort of quality, simple but flattering pieces you can throw on everyday but still look suitably smart and together in.

Whilst jeans and tees aren’t the most exciting thing to buy, it’s fair to say they’re probably the most worn pieces in our wardrobes. And despite the fact i’m looking to keep my style a little more dressy and together than it has been in recent months (more of these looks coming your way), the classics are the backbone to any good wardrobe. The capsule collection you style up with statement accessories, blouses and jackets. For Autumn this look is definitely a capsule number i’ll be relying on.
