Outfit

Red Riding Hood

June 15, 2012

I’ve been a busy old bee today so far, I booked the day off work to go to the dentist back home in Winchester, which took a serious amount of time in the end. Since getting home i’ve been out in the wind snapping my outfit and also a couple of ‘style challenge’ looks (exciting stuff, but more on this to follow). I’ve finally now got time to get today’s blog post live. I normally post my features first thing in the morning as I’ll have written my post before bed the night before (as I work in the week), although as I had today off my routine has slipped and i donny like it. It’s made me realise how much of a creature of habit / anal organisers / OCD I am. ha. Anyway, better late than never.

. Sheinside Vintage Skirt . Dune Wedges . Bershka Blazer . Zara Silk Top . Primark Gold Necklace .

This is what I wore to work Thursday, the sun finally veered it’s head after a 4 day hiatus. I unduly welcomed it back and in celebration decided it was time I put some pretty clothes on. No more tights or jeans. I decided to wear my Sheinside vintage skirt as it’s a happy medium between skimpy summer and modest still slightly covered clobber – perfect for the weather we had. The blue silk top is a real oldy from Zara but makes the perfect simple accompaniment to a statement skirt or skinny jeans. The return of le soleil also meant I got to officially debut my handbag in London. So happy to be able to get it out and I’ve used it every day since. J’adore.
I’m also wearing one of my gorgeous jewels that the lovely Lisa from Dainty Roses kindly sent me this week. I had such a lovely package of amazing rings, bracelets and necklaces sent to me from her fab online store (you may have seen some pics on instagram already). This ring is a cute little bear and I’ve worn it high up as a knuckle ring as I’m a big fan of these right now. I’ll be showcasing my other lovely items over the next week or so :) The best news is she’s also offering you fab readers 15% off for 2 weeks, just enter the code MARMALADE15 at checkout :)

This weekend is going to be fairly chilled out, I had a lovely dinner last night with my friends and sister at Dim T. So yummy. I haven’t made many plans for the rest of the weekend yet,but perhaps some baking, prep for IOW, catching up with my buds, and hopefully seeing Jase.

What do you think of this work outfit, what sort of thing do you wear for work?

Ps: You can still nominate me for the Cosmo blog awards (here) if you feel so inclined (I’D LOVE YOU FORVER), I’d come under Best Newcomer or New fashion blog :)
