The Royal Touch

On Monday I booked the day off work to give myself a long weekend to lap up this glorious sunshine and have a little recoup time. Luckily my sister finished college by 1030 on Monday (seriously?) and so we decided to have a little family outing. My nan, mum, sister and I drove into Wickham and went for a rather decadent sunshine filled afternoon tea at one of my favourite little Cafes – Lilly’s.

Here’s what I wore on the day. A rather casual / typical day look for me. Whilst I do often wear heels and dress up a little (I suppose), this is what i’d say my typical day style is, a pair of skinnies, pumps a blouse or pretty top and a jacket or blazer. Sometimes it’s quite nice to see a dressed down look, so voila :) In the summer I wear much the same but usually just swap a skirt or shorts for my skinnies.

So Lilly’s is a really cute little cafe specialising in cakes, tea and all thinks kitsch and cute. Afternoon tea here is such good value £17.50 for 2 (I paid £25 each at Bath Hotel) and you get some tasty finger sarnies, lot’s of tea, a warm home baked scone (with all the trimmings) and a fresh baked cake of your choice. I went for Carrot cake which was a serious taste sensation. My Nan treated us all, and we had such a lovely afternoon :)
