Oooh cheeky cheeky bargain hunter, don’t you love it when you find something you love, but resist because it’s just far too many pennies, and then you find it, as if by fate, for HALF PRICE. Well what you can you say to that, yes please. These shorts are a total find and you may remember a few instagram posts of these from a wee while ago, back when I was was without, and longing for them daily. Well here’s the real deal today …
. Topshop Print Shorts (Ebay, £14.99) . Zara Mesh Top . Missguided Deina Boots . Topshop Socks .
. Zara Pinky / Red Blazer (old) .
A very simple pair of colourful print high waist-ed cotton shorts caught my eyes a little while ago, winking at me as I snuck a peak in Topshop on my lunch break. I nipped in and hastily tried them on, yes, I loved them, the fit was perfect (although the butt was close to sneaking out), but then I saw the price tag. REALLY? You really feel it appropriate to charge £35 for these summery beach shorts. Really. I left feeling glum. Anyway, as fate had it, a couple of days later my sister sent me a link to none other than these little beauties, on ebay, for £14 … size 8 and never worn. Well I never … I paid immediately and was so excited to receive them.
They are quite literally THE shorts I tried on and I’m so glad I now have them, although i’m still unsure their worth the full £35. They’re fairly short so really only appropriate for summer, holidays and maybe a risque evening out. I wore this last weekend and teamed them with my Zara mesh blouse & old school pinky /red colour blazer and my trusty Deina Boots.
I’ve also been so desperate to rock this cool frilly sock look that I snapped these up in Topshop the other day and thought this’d be the perfect time to sport them.
What do you think of this summery look? How would you style these shorts?
