You may have noticed over the years that I have a rather large obsession with faux fur coats, my collection is far bigger than I care to admit, and this year i’ve fallen in love with tons more after the teddy bear coat became a ‘thang’ on the AW14 catwalk.  Whilst many could argue my Zara cream fur coat was enough to satisfy this seasons fur trend obsessions, I beg to differ, I mean think of all the colours i’d be missing out on to settle on just this one colour.

There’s obviously quite a fine balancing act though, between spending your life savings in fur coats the colour of the rainbow versus you know, feeding yourself and paying for the electricity. But it’s a balancing act i’m beginning to master. And given payday had just happened, I decided to give in and treat myself to the next fur coat on my AW14 hit list. The black, Topshop, Teddy bear coat. It’s a dream. I’d been eying it up for ages online, debating this little number versus the classic shearling version (which sadly sold out and never came back). When my sister got a cheeky freshers week 20% off at Topshop I sent her straight to the shops to pick this up for me. I had to downsize and get a size 6 (no complaints there), as it’s actually ginormous (despite meaning to be oversized). I was super chuffed when she bought it up with her this weekend and instantly threw it on ready for our weekend exploring.

I teamed the jacket with my James jeans skinnies, my sisters white topshop shirt (which i’m definitely going to have to buy – she upsized to make it a little oversized opposed to office fitted) and my Zara open heeled boots which are the perfect balance between comfy ankle boots and glam heel.
