. CASUAL BRETON .
The juxtaposition of a structured & dressy bottom half paired with a laid back, oversized top half is one of my favourite things. I love the contrast the look creates and I think it’s such a chic style. Styling up my leather pencil skirt with a casual breton tee is my way of embracing this style of dressing.
. H&M Real Leather Skirt . Office Ankle Boots . Chicwish Breton Tee .
I love my leather pencil skirt, but find if I style it with a dressy top, It limits the occasions I can wear it – it becomes a more smart evening look opposed to day wear. To make sure I get wear out of it, I frequently dress the skirt down by teaming it with an oversized casual tee or equally a knitted jumper – it makes it a far more ‘day’ suitable outfit & actually looks relatively chic and ‘unfussy’ which I love. The Parisians do this look best and I’m gradually trying to learn the art of ‘under-dressing’ which they do so well.
