Today’s post is a real favourite of mine, you know the sort of outfit that you can rely on every time, even when you’re having one of ‘those’ days. It’s a really simple look, but is great for work, evenings out, or even a casual weekend look.
The dress is my ASOS shift dress (the one I spent hours hunting down), which I still love immensely It’s actually the perfect shift dress, and I feel qualified to give it this title given I’ve searched so long and hard for the perfect one. I got it after seeing it on Lily’s blog (llymlrs) and have worn it at least 3 times a week since I got it. I styled the dress this week with a really old pair of tan wedges (which were a real find from New Look about 4 years ago) and my Zara blazer. I needed the outfit to look smart enough for client meetings but also fun enough for a night out after work.
. ASOS Jaquard Shift Dress £38 . New Look Wedged Ankle Boots (old) . Zara Tweed / Leather Blazer .
. Brit-Stitch Half Pint Satchel £70 c/o . Anthropologie Fedora .
I hadn’t worn my wedges in a while, nor my Zara jacket but absolutely loved them styled with this dress. They smartened the dress up for work, but still looked cool for the evening. The other bit of this outfit which I really do love is the addition of my new Half Pint poppy red Brit-Stitch satchel. I mentioned this bag in my post on Saturday (here) and have actually used my new bags every day since I received them. They’re so chic and quality, perfect for summer too and despite the bold colours really do seem to go with everything. So basically this outfit combines all my favourite things, and has probably become my new favourite outfit :)
What do you think of the styling of my shift dress? What would you wear for a work / night out transition? Are you a fan of the coloured satchel trend?

Love the jacket -this is a pretty satchel! I would probably only use for day wear though.
