Sometimes the simplest of items can work together to create a real effortless yet chic look. It’s a style and a look I really admire and love seeing people looking fabulous in items of clothing that might otherwise look super casual or nothing special. It’s the outfits as bloggers we may feel don’t warrant a feature on the old blog, the simple, understated, day to day look, but actually is one of my favourite to see and get inspiration from.
Today’s outfit is one of those, a simple, super understated casual day look – skinny jeans, loose tshirt and a leather jacket. It’s one of my most worn looks, and I always find my leather jacket goes perfectly and is just so comfy. When I wore this outfit at the weekend, I did add a cheeky little twist to the look to make it look slightly more cool – and that’s my new Zara ankle boots.
These are the boots i’ve been banging on about, I blogged about them back in September and have been talking about them non stop since then. Despite the sell out, I managed to find them on ebay for £80 and could no longer resist them. I’m so glad I did buy them as I’ve worn then pretty much daily since they arrived last week. They give a simple skinny jean look a real kick and help upgrade a look for an evening look too.
. Zara Leopard Boots £80 . Tophop Baxter Jeans £45, Leather Jacket (old) & Tshirt £18 .
. Primark Necklace . Anthropologie Hat .
I love the way the boots completely make the outfit and i’ve been wearing them loads. Saturday night I styled them with leather trousers and this same white top for a night out – a really simple effortless look but actually looked quite cool still.
I’ve been doing a bit of shopping recently, not only did I give in and buy these booties, I also nabbed an amazing ASOS smock dress (after some serious hunting I should add). I’ve been getting in the retail mood what with Fashion Week taking over, and have been sat online browsing lots of the high street collections – it also feels like Spring is getting a little closer and so what better excuse to check out the new seasons collections and start dreaming of summery outfits. I’ve been pretty impressed with New Looks range, they always have such fab accessories from shoes, to bags, to jewellery. Whilst hunting for my boots I found some great alternatives on New Look’s site (they really do smash it on the shoes front), and a gorgeous brown bag* which I’m secretely lusting after at the moment. As girls we’re so lucky to have affordable high street stores offering us high end fashion but within a much more sensible budget.
What do you think of my new Zara ankle boots? Do you like how i’ve styled them? What’s your effortless / go to outfit?

I think this is a very bloggable outfit! I completely agree that I love seeing bloggers in slightly more casual outfits (especially something like this which is daywear but very stylish) because I mostly enjoy outfit posts as they give me inspiration and I don’t get invited to the sort of events that would warrant some of the outfits I see in outfit posts! I love a leather jacket, long top and skinny jeans, it’s so classic and those boots add an amazing edge to the outfit, they are beautiful!xo

I absolutely adore your new leopard booties! I wish I could rock a heel as high as this but I would literally be well over 6 feet tall. I think you’re styling is very much on point and I’d love to see your evening look too – great necklace also miss, can’t believe it’s Primark.
