Sometimes things just work out, and this outfit was one of those things. I threw on this dress on Saturday for a casual day out for tea & cake, I decided it’d give me a fab excuse to wear my hat too so it was a no brainer outfit. Before I popped out my little sister took some pics of my outfit, at what must have been the perfect time of day :) It was a lovely day, I love my outfit and thanks to my little sister I love the pics too (it makes such a difference someone taking them opposed to the tripod and timer routine I usually have).
This dress was a new delivery from Karma Clothing on Friday and arrived just in time for me to pack it and take it home with me for the weekend. I loved the colour of the dress and thought the cut out waist gave it a little twist from your standard skater dresses, so was keen to add it to my wardrobe. It was amazingly sunny out and so Saturday was a perfect day for me to wear it (styled with thick tights of course).

I am still obsessed with my Anthropologie hat and love that it went so well with this dress, It just makes every outfit a little more chic and classic :) Although rather inconveniently it does cover up my new hair colour and cut … although you can see my cut here quite well. It’s quite a bit shorter but super healthy and tidy.
I’ve been really enjoying taking pictures recently, I’ve swapped my macro lens back onto my DSLR and am wondering why I ever took it off. The pictures are much more what I like to feature on my blog, and this style of image is what I wish my blog could be all the time – although given I blog daily and work full time I won’t be too hard on myself when I do have my tripod ones which aren’t quite such good quality. But big thanks to my sisters and boyfriend who I rope into taking photos of me every weekend.
