Ice Ice Baby


So one of the best things about the snow is how amazing it looks in a photo :) This is a little outfit post from yesterday, we actually had a pretty chilled day skiing due to some heavy snow fall & super nippy conditions. it was a unanimous vote that we called it a day and hit the local Roxy store for a serious burger. In Val I have two faveourite burger haunts … the Aspen bar in Tigne and the Roxy bar in Val. If you need a good old vanilla shake and burger and fries fix, these are your places to go.

I had time to ditch my ski gear before we went out and persuaded my dad to get some snaps of me posing by this igloo. All the way along Val D’Isere high street are beautiful ice sculptures which really are worth the stop & photo.
I went for a super cosy outfit including my new River Island fur and leather detailed cardigan which I got for Christmas. It really is so cosy and is the perfect item to pair with a simple pair of skinnies and ankle boots. It makes an outfit out of nothing.

So as I mentioned, the Roxy bar is known for their shakes & burgers and I make sure I pay a visit every time i’m back in Val. The cold weather and serious snow fall most definitely had an effect on us all, as every plate was cleaned. Not a single chippy left in site. The rest of the day was spent browsing the shops, watching Sherlock Holmes & chilling out in the Chalet. 
We’ve had lots of fresh snow falling the last couple of days and it means we’re overflowing in fresh powder – up to my waist on one trek we did :) But sadly today is our last day skiing and we travel back to the UK tomorrow … back to reality. I’ve loved my week away, and I hope you’ve not minded hearing about it all too much. I have a couple more outfit posts from my trip which I’m hoping to share with you in the next few days too :)

    Great outfit – so envious of your skiing holiday. We were in Tignes last time we skied…BC (before children)…seems like eons ago! You’re bringing back some great memories for me. Safe journey home, Avril x

    I love this outfit and how cool that Roxy have a burger bar (I was wondering if you were talking about the Roxy when I read what you wrote and then saw the photos, too cool)
