Outfit

Tighty Wighty

November 27, 2012

Ohhh I love a good pair of winter shorts I do, I do, I do. I think there’s nothing cosier than a tweed pair of shorts, a simple top and a big cosy knit. It’s a look my sister pulls off very well indeed, and she always inspires me to wear this sort of thing.
This weekend was a drizzly and cold one and so it was the perfect time for me to whip on my new Lavish Alice tweed and stud shorts. I had these delivered last week and had been waiting to wear them for ages. I must say they’re very short / small for their size. Definitely the equivalent of a size 6 which my poor bottom struggled to get into. sob sob.  But anyway, I managed it after a few Bridget Jones style manoeuvres and I loved them on. These shorts are just amazing so I wasn’t going to give in. I love the material and the stud detail on the pockets (very similar to a pair in Topshop at the moment).
I decided to wear them with a simple black top, but I think it’d look really cool with a crop top too. I got out my old Miss Selfridge knit cardy this weekend too and have already begun living in it. It’s a really old item but one of the trusty items you fall straight back to every year.
. Lavish Alice Shorts £21 (C/O) . Marc B Handbag £45 (C/O) . Miss Selfridge Cardigan (old) .
. AX Paris Platforms £36 . Topshop Vest (old) .
I decided to accessorise with black leather, including my trusty AX Paris boots (which I’m sorry, i’m just living in non stop right now) and my new Marc B handbag (swoon). It’s called the Charlotte clutch and I think it’s absolutely perfect for nights out or weekend trips. I’m definitely going to be taking this to NYC as it’s the perfect size for a city bag.

What do you think of my Autumnal outfit & leather accessorising? Are you a fan of shorts & tights in winter?

I love the shorts! I have loads of tweed shorts which need updating, studs are a great idea.
I need to keep my eye on Lavish Alice more often.
