After a night of feeling super excited, overwhelmingly proud to be British and absolutely entranced in Danny Boyles creation at the 2012 Oylmpics Opening Ceremony, I thought it only right that today’s post continue to show off some of the things about Britain. Last weekend in sunny Bristol, Jase and I ditched the city and drove a few miles out to Chew Valley lakes for a spot of strawberry picking and lounging in the sun. When the sun is shining, there’s no complaining, we do have a lot to offer :)
Strawberry picking is one of those super cute day out trips that you always want to do, but never quite get round to doing. I’m so glad we finally did though, the sun was fully out to play and we popped along to this beautiful strawberry picking farm deep in the country side. They had strawberries, gooseberries, blackcurrents and raspberries on offer, but we stuck to the good old strawberries which were so juicy and sweet it was amazing.
You can spend as long or as little time as you like strolling through the fields, and you only pay for what you pick, the little tasters on route free of charge of course. There’s a darling little farm shop where you can pick up your cream and meringue ready to find a perfect picnic spot on the lakes and dig into your pickings.
We had such a fun day out and I do also love my little playsuit which I wore on the day. It’s a very loose, silk print playsuit from Zara which I picked up a while ago when I was having my serious splurge. I’ve been wearing it lots lately and really love it.
I was a little naughty this week and have ordered myself THE studded Zara ankle boots in black, I’d wanted them for ages but just thought i’m never going to wear red boots. When I finally saw they released a black version I had NO choice but to lap them up. I also ordered a cute white lace skirt which i’d been eyeing up for a while, it was reduced to £15 so a no brainer. Last night I also came home to 2 deliveries of yummy clothes, so will be showcasing them on here soon too.
This weekend is the last chance to enter my £100 clothes giveaway, you can enter here if you haven’t already ;)
What do you think of my casual Sunday outfit and my strawberry picking day trip?

I loved this playsuit when it first went online but I resisted buying it and now I can’t find it! I love going strawberry picking. Our local place shut down last year and i miss it! They had great strawberries and the best raspberries. X
