Now I always talk about the advertising industry as being the pinnacle of ‘work hard, play hard’, and that’s because it’s true. Whilst we work long hours and feel high levels of stress, we do get some serious goodies every now and then that make it all the more worthwhile. Whether it be michelin star lunches, awards ceremonies, theatre trips, free for all parties, or being taken to events, we certainly do get spoilt. One of my favourite perks I’ve received since working is festival tickets, camping & VIP entry, amazing I know, and this year is no different. Thanks to my lovely friends over at Absolute, I am once again heading to IOW festival for a fun filled weekend of partying.
Now I know chances are, like last year, it’s going to rain, BUT, I shan’t let that spoil my outfit planning. This little outfit post not only features my incredible new Holly bag which I invested in this weekend, but it’s also a little look at my festival style. Now admittedly I’d be rocking my Hunters and not these wedges, i’m no glamper, I get stuck right in. But this is the sort of look i’m going to be packing in my camping bag. I showed my friends the look I was going for and they loved it. But one thing they did question was the bag. As we are camping, a bag of this size is not really appropriate. I can just about fit my essentials in it. After I was struggling to find an alternative, my friends recommended that I looked into bags like the ones they sell at companies like Arkadia Supply. These are the sorts of bags that they want me to take camping. I mean, I never really thought about something like this, but know that I have checked it out, it seems like a much better idea than my previous bag. Considering the weather is so unpredictable, I don’t think my bag would have survived.
This dip dye / print body con dress is actually something I picked up a couple of years ago (I lose track) from River Island. I still love it to this day and love any excuse to get it out my wardrobe. In this look i’ve styled it with my leather pants & my summer hat, but I’ve also worn it to festivals before as a dress (which it is) which works equally as well. I’ve added a little piccie below of how I wore it to SW4 a few years back :D
Needless to say I’m psyched for IOW, I shall be rain dancing from now until the end of June to try and keep the rain away & get that sunshine back out (please oh please) :)
What do you think of my festival attire? And of course my new Holly bag styled in this outfit? Are you going to any festivals this year?
