Grrrrrr - Mediamarmalade

It’s fair to say I have quite a ludicrous amount of clothes, and every now and then I re-discover things I bought years ago that have been hidden in the back of my wardrobe, stuffed away desperately seeking some sunlight. I tend to find these clothes in my moments of ‘spring cleaning’, whereby every now and then I get a bolt of adrenaline and have the biggest urge to tidy & reorganise my room. This happened to me a couple of weeks ago and that’s when I found this old denim skirt stuffed away under all my new skirts & shorts. I think this skirt is actually one I bought when I was at college, which means it’s probably about 8years old (flippin’ eck, that’s old). Anyway, after digging it out a few weeks ago, I’ve rediscovered some love for it.

I don’t often wear denim skirts, well actually I never wear them usually (this is the only one I own). But when I found this and was trying on lots of outfits in prep for holiday I actually loved it styled with my tan belt and Acton boots so thought i’d give it a whirl. Especially as this is the sort of beach outfit i’ll live in on holiday.

I styled it with a simple cream tunic from H&M which, you may have noticed, i’ve been living in recently. It’s so easy to wear and goes with everything. I also wore it with my new leopard print scarf from Krisp Clothing. You may remember my coral giraffe print scarf which I sadly lost in Barcelona back in April, well since the loss of that dear scarf i’ve been a little lost as it really was my favourite. Now i’ve found this one I feel whole again :D I’ve worn it every day since I bought it already haha.

I was taking these pictures just before leaving the house the other day & my dad was laughing at me prancing around in the garden and so decided to wrap the scarf round my head … so here we go. A new way to wear your scarf ;)

This bank holiday Monday will be spent chilling out at home & sorting out the final bits and bobs for holiday. I’m a little worried my suitcase is over 15KJ (cheeky feckers reduced the allowance) so I may have to pay (GRRR) to get some more allowance now. I’m also needing to pick up a couple of essentials, shampoo / conditioner, some moisturiser etc today, so may tie this into a cheeky little lunch with my girls before driving up to Bristol this eve – we’re annoyingly flying from Cardiff as Gatwick flights sold out by the time everyone made their mind up. DOH.
