Outfit

Hair of the Dog

August 8, 2012

There are times in life when you just want to scrap the glitz and glam and be completely chilled and comfy, when PJ’s aren’t a suitable choice (e.g. you actually have to leave the house) you have to have a go to ‘down time’ outfit. Whether it be for the day after a big night out, a day when you’re running errands, or your simply just not in the mood to get dolled up, a comfy outfit is a must. After a rather boozy day last week, I discovered my new ‘comfy outfit’.

I’ve had my Disco Pants for a while now, but only worn them dressed up for evenings out. However after deciding they’re actually mega comfy & that I needed to get more use out of them, I thought i’d sport them on my day of recovery and lounging. Teamed with a pair of converse, my new grey marl jersey top & my leather jacket, this outfit qualified as the perfect ‘down time’ look.
. AA Disco Pants . Converse . Topshop Grey Marl Top . Mulberry Holly . Primark Necklace .
Absolutely nothing special, but still I liked the look & was super comfy which is all that mattered. I wore this as I popped out for a cheeky burger and bloody mary at my favourite wine bar in Chiswick the day after I consumed a few too many margarita’s. It was the perfect hangover day, with a hefty hair of the dog recovery session followed by lots of sofa time watching the Olympics. Oh how I’d long for that right now. After working the weekend and having a pretty crappy week, I am massively longing for a very chilled out day, to cosy on the sofa, watch rom coms and drink cups of tea.
What do you think of this super casual outfit? What’s your go to hangover look?

You look lovely :) I absolutely love a ‘comfy day’ outfit, feeling a bit bluh at the moment, so it seems to be more of a regular occurance! I tend to opt for an oversized woolly and jeans :)

I really love this outfit! I’m definitely more of a comfy/oversized girl, so this sort of thing is right up my street. I love how you’ve made the disco pants look more casual as that was one concern I’ve had with buying some.. that I wouldn’t be able to make them day appropriate xx

Comfy and you are still rocking the Mulberry and leather leggings! My comfy looks are way less stylish

Love this outfit so much, especially the grey top – really nice! Love Converse, they are my go to chilling out footwear, so comfy. Like that you can dress down the disco pants – was slightly worried they were more night time wear so wasn’t sure how much wear I would get out of them. My favourite outfit for the day after is black leggings and my boyfriends long grey cableknit cosy jumper – bliss!

What an effective outfit – comfy, but you don’t look like you’ve thrown on the nearest thing to you. Disco pants win again! Cx
