I’m in the west country this weekend and it’s flipping cold. I have an abundance of coats, so many so that I have had to put a 5 year coat spending ban on myself. Anyway what this means is that I basically have every outerwear occasion covered. Despite the fact I have a zillion different coats, when Autumn / Winter hits I tend to start living in one of these more than all the others. My Zara gilet.I got this jacket last Christmas from my mum as it’s something i’d been lusting after for ages and was top of my Christmas list. When I first got it in ‘real life’ i was amazed how HUGE it was. My worries of looking like the abominable snow monster soon passed when I realised how cosy and warm this was. I have 4 other fur coats, but this one is by far the warmest.
Despite the fact this jacket has no sleeves, and so you’d think, wouldn’t be the warmest of coats, it’s really not. It’s the warmest coat I own and the fur and cosiness around your body heats you up from the inside. I love that you can wear anything underneath, leather jacket, wooly jumper, blazer etc and change the look of the sleeves making it seem like a new jacket each time. I always make sure I wear my gloves too and this is guaranteed to be a warm winning combination.

I fly to NYC in a couple of weeks time, EXCITEMENT, and this will be the jacket I take with me. I’ve been to NYC a few times before and always get amazed at how cold it can be. This is definitely my best bet for warmth and means I can still show case my outfits and not have them hidden away by layers.
As for the rest of the outfit, more on that soon, but I seem to be living in my new boots from AX Paris. I’ve just been wearing really thick socks to pad them out a bit :)

Ahh man that really does look amazing! Don’t your arms get cold though? I know you said its really warm, but I reckon if my arms were still exposed they’d be freezing even if my core is warm! My arms are always the coldest part haha. I’m the same btw, I love fur coats but terrified of looking like the abdominal snowman (or whatever, abdominal sounds close)!!

I Love this :) and I really like the idea of being able to wear it with a leather jacket! I live in my leather jacket but its not really warm enough when it starts to get really cold so something like this would suit me perfectly! May have to invest in one :)

Looks super cozy! I love faux fur pieces, though i admit passing on quite a few because i have a hard time getting used to how huge they make my body look in comparison to my head. @_@ I need to get over that! My coziest coat is 35″ of down feathers with faux fur trim on the cuffs, bottom and collar. I love it! I like in Minnesota so we need super heavy duty coats in the winter.
