VAL D’ISERE 2013


. SKIING .

First off, sorry for the heavy photo post, but this post is a little catch up on my holiday to date and so pictures really are imperative. If you haven’t caught on yet, I’m in Val D’isere on my annual ski trip. I love it here, it’s actually like a second home as I’ve been here every year since I was a little girl. I just love everything about it, from the skiing, to the people to the amazing restaurants and bars. We arrived on Sunday for a weeks ski trip and below are a few things I’ve been getting up to so far …

Yesterday was a fab day, we skiied a few fab off piste runs, did lots of moguls and also skied my favourite little adventure piece of off piste – the lost valley. It’s a valley in between two of the main mountains that, when the snow falls, creates the most wonderful little hidden valley, perfect for a couple of hours of adventure. It involves lots of tree skiing, rock climbing & butt sliding. It’s a great secret route & really does take a bit of effort to get down. One year I even had to absail down the rock face with my ski’s to get down to the next bit of the valley :)
Last night we had an absolutely delectable meal at L’atalia Edmonds in Le Fornet – 8 courses of seriously good food & I am officially about 6 stone heavier. Skiing really isn’t the thing to do if you want to trim up – the food is just too good :) I have some pics of my outfit that I actually decided to wear in the end (typical girl, I changed my mind about 3 times) which i’ll look to get up in the next couple of days to show you all.
What do you think of this more lifestyle kind of post on my blog – I never know whether you all want to see this sort of thing or not?

    As much as I hate skiing I’m enjoying seeing your photos from the trip. The lodge looks incredible as does the scenery.

    I love blogs that talk about life too as well as fashion so more of these types of posts would be awesome! :)

    It looks beautiful, but I just got back from skiing in France and I have to say I didn’t enjoy it one bit. My husband loves it though and is already planning next years trip!
