. BE MINE .
Todays post is just a little ‘life lately’ post, mainly pics from the last couple of weekends and valentines etc. A total mixture of photos and instagrams (afterall they document our whole life right?). Tomorrows post will be the LFW download including deets on the New Look Fashion Week room – although I’ve added a few pics below.
On Valentines night, Jase and I went for an amazing meal at Ceviche a Peruvian restaurant in Soho, i’ve been before and loved it, so thought what better place for us to go. When we got home I was surprised with the most beautiful bunch of hand picked flowers which Jase designed himself, and if that wasn’t enough a sirprise box filled with all my favourite treats. Pick N Mix (all the best), Matchsticks (the chocs we ate 5 years ago when we first got together), Bloody Mary ingredients (My favourite tipple at brunch) and a gorg candle & movie for the evening. Boy. Did. Good.
Yesterday was a really fun filled day with a gorgeous brunch at Riding house Cafe followed by LFW and the New Look refuel room (some pics above). Jase and I finished the day off perfectly with Mexicana night – we made home made guacamole (my fave) and turkey taco’s with all the toppings. I’m so tempted to do a recipe on my blog as it’s so good AND easy. There were tons of amazing goodies up for grab in the New Look Refuel room, and the pic above shows my fab manicure I had done.
I received these ‘must haves’ from Hershesons this week too, I hadn’t actually heard of the brand before, but the brand sytle and products are fab and so cute. I received a few, what I would call, hair essential items to try out and I can’t wait to give them a go. I use dry shampoo on a daily basis, its literally my hair savour. Having extremely blonde hair means it can look greasy in my roots even when its not, so I love using dry shampoo to give it a little ‘pick me up’ and also just boost the va va voom of my hair (I always find dry shampoo gives you a bit of volume). I can’t wait to try this Hershesons dry shampoo, it’s in such a pretty bottle too. I also got some cute ‘pull yourself together‘ hair bands which couldn’t be more handy seeing as I’m always losing mine and these will actually match my hair colour. My final item was this super cute hair bow from the LadyGaga collection, I think this would look really pretty in a half top knot hair style – i’ll be giving it a go soon.
Last weekend was spent enjoying time with my girls and my Norweigen friend and the pics above are a few snap shots of what we got up to. It included lots of yummy food, margaritas, breakfast club brunch and a vintage pop up store in Shoreditch. The remaining pics are all the ‘best of the rest’ – my beloved hat stand has now been mended and I now have coat hooks on my door to help spread the weight. Anyone that comes into my room is gobsmacked at the pure volume of clothes I have around the place, every wall is filled. It wouldn’t be right not to feature my leopard print boots and an outfit from the week. The business card is our new work ones (I have a full time career outside my little blog).
Im also mega excited to announce the winner of my Valentines giveaway (selected via Random.org) – Entrant No.9, Hearts & Crosses (i’ll be in contact re your prize today).
So there you go, a ltttle round up of all things lately, I hope you found it interesting? I always seem to get good feedback on these posts and I think Saturday is a good day for them :) What do you think?

Glad you got your hatstand fixed! I have door hooks and with the sheer amount of jackets I have on the back of there I’m surprised the door isn’t off its hinges haha.

Lovely post Mel, I adore reading this kind of post where you can have a good ol’ nosy into what you’ve been up to! I’d love to see a post on the Mexican recipe, I adore Mexican food but never know what to make other than fajitas.
