Round & Round The Mulberry Bush

In honour of it being Friday, the last ‘school day’ before the weekend I thought i’d share a little outfit channeling my inner school girl today. I am loving the pinafore trend at the moment, and the whole ‘school girl chic’ look that the likes of Alexa are coveting daily, so today’s outfit is my own variation on the look.

The dress is a little number from AX Paris, it’s a little different to the standard crepe style dresses with it’s jacquard style design, making it a little more special and unique to the majority of these pinafore dresses that you see around. The waist bit is a little too big for me which is a shame, but it makes for a super casual styling which is good.

I styled the dress with my Navy striped Glamorous dress to give it a little twist. Normally a simple white shirt or tshirt would be my under garment of choice but I thought i’d mix it up a little in this outfit. I’m still deciding whether it works or not, having styled my pinafore playsuit with a white t-shirt here, i’m thinking a simple block colour may go best under these pinafore dresses. I added my new Daniel Footwear sandals with the dress and my Topshop fedora which I am obsessed with at the moment. Hats are definitely the ultimate accessory this year I think.
