Outfit

Time Machine

May 26, 2013

So following neatly from yesterdays project take 10 post and our amazing collaboration with ASOS Fashion Finder and Warehouse, todays post is the full outfit feature … As I mentioned yesterday, I opted to style Warehouse’s denim dungaree’s for the challenge and absolutely love my pick. The dungaree’s are very good quality denim and are one of the best pairs i’ve seen on the high street if you’re after a proper denim 90’s piece :)
I had a lot of fun wearing this item, there’s something about styling something you wore back in your childhood that makes you just want to lark around and have a giggle. Plus I always find that if I wear a playsuit, shorts, or now dungaree’s you feel a little more free to mess around and relax into your look.
As I mentioned yesterday, the denim is so good in this playsuit that it’s currently quite ‘rigid’ and hard – think old school levis rigid, so I need to get wearing these tons to really wear them in and loosen the material. I can’t wait for them to be a bit looser and softer, they’re going to turn into a live in summer item I think.

I decided to style the look super casually, but keeping my usual girly twist on things too. I pulled out my very old Urban Outfitters floral tunic tshirt, it’s a real gold oldie of mine and even after having it 4+ years, I still wear it constantly. It went perfectly with the dungaree’s to create a real casual, girly look. Brining out my pink nails and the pink in the touch I decided to wear my Brit-Stitch satchel – it’s the perfect bag for a casual weekend look and goes great with the dungaree’s. Finally – no surprises here, are my Topshop leather heeled sandals and my black fedora. Two items which I am constantly wearing and believe goes with everything. My Topshop sandals have probably (despite being new) become one of my most worn shoes ever, i seem to be living in them whether it’s at the weekend, for work or an evening out. They’re just perfect for everything, swoon. SHOES I LOVE YOU.

What do you think of my outfit and how I chose to style my Warehouse dungaree’s? I’d love to hear how you’d style them, I’m keen to get more ideas :)
