. BEDROOM MAKEOVER .
I was recently given a rather exciting and also pretty original challenge, step aside style challenges, this was a renovation challenge. Alongside a few other fab bloggers, MoneySupermarket challenged me to renovate my room with a £50 budget … heres how I got on:
I’d actually wanted a mirror in my room for a really long time, given i’m a fashion blogger, it’s a little weird that I didn’t have a full length mirror in my room. I often think this is half the reason I walk out the house in the morning in totally clashing outfits sometimes. I’d been eyeing up some Mirrors in a boutique in Clifton Village in Bristol for a really long time, but had been waiting until I move in with Jase to buy one. However with this challenge popping up, it gave me the fab excuse to finally get the mirror and totally renovate my room into one suitable for a style blogger.
I didn’t get rid of any of my things when doing my room up, simply moved things around and took the chance to tidy things up and also throw a way of ton of clothes. Not that you can probably tell, but I have actually cleared out about 3 bin bags full of clothes, for a mixture of selling, storage and charity. Since renovating my room with my brand new mirror, I feel like my room is complete. It’s making such a difference already being able to see my full outfit in the morning, and i’m absolutely in love with my mirror and the chic, rustic design.
The mirror itself cost £70, so my £50 was really good to put towards it. My family can’t believe I found this mirror for £70 so It was a great find and a real bargain given the quality. Although I must say, driving this HUGE mirror back to London in my convertible beetle was a little adventure …
What do you think of my room renovation and my new mirror? Have you taken part in the Money Supermarket challenge? What would you change to your room with £50?
