This weather couldn’t be making me any happier, seriously, i love it. I’ve been hitting the park every lunch time, BBQ-ing like a beast, and getting as much sunshine exposure as possible. Today we’re heading for lunch on the roof terrace at Aqua which I just can’t wait for.

As well as the general serotonin boost, I’m also loving this sunshine as i’ve finally been able to get more wear out of my beloved summer clothes. I’ve even been bringing out summer skirts from 3 years ago to kepe my wardrobe looking fresh (more to come on these outfits soon).

I’ve been living in mini skirts and spaghetti strap tops this week, but I wanted to share this slightly more ‘warm’ outfit as I think it’s great for summer evenings, and evening garden parties. Whilst the denim shorts and mini skirts are perfect for the day time, in the evening when sitting in the garden with the candles lighting us and G&T in hand, I do like something a little more cosy and comfortable … but still summer suitable.

This outfit is perfect for a summer evening do, and is actually an outfit I wore to a friends garden dinner party a few weeks back. It made for a great evening look, but still felt like you were dressing for summer. The skirt is a French Connection number and a real favourite of mine and the top was a New Look find which I borrowed off my sister (I wasn’t successful in stealing this full time). They go perfectly together to create a laid back evening outfit.
