MAKE ME BLUSH

July 21, 2013

. MAC PRO LONGWEAR BLUSH .

I mentioned in a post a little while ago (here) that I’d treated myself to a few new makeup bits. After hitting up the new Covent Garden MAC store I was persuaded to invest in a couple of new items – an essential (cover up) and a treat (blush). Today I’m going to tell you all about my new Blush …

I love a bit of blusher and previously had always gone for slightly darker pinks / rouges (Clinique), however given the glorious sunshine and the summer season I wanted to add a little summer blush into my collection, something fun, light, colourful and a little flushed. I use Hervana from Benefit already, but was up for something a little more punchy, when I saw this longwear blush in the MAC store I was instantly drawn to its vibrancy. I opted for the colour ‘ Stay Pretty’ because it was such a bright, girly colour, perfect for spring and a little bold and daring.
The blush was around £19.50 so was a cheeky little treat, but I have used it everyday since I bought it. Originally I was going to buy the creme blush, but decided that this long wear version was more suitable for how I like to apply my makeup (it’s sort of a blend between creme and powder). It applies really easily, feels light on your skin, but gives your cheeks a real natural flush (despite being so pink), it’s perfect for summer.
Have you tried any of MAC’s blushers or this long wear blush? Which brands do you like to use?

I haven’t tried any Mac blushes but I really like the look of this one. It doesn’t look as scary as some of them which are so read. X

I’ve never tried the Pro Longwear blushes before but I do have their regular powder blush in Fleur Power which I find lasts really well already!

I have not tried the MAC blush yet but I really want to. I’m going to go in the next couple of weeks and get new products for the rest of the year. I don’t buy lots of makeup, just my essentials. I do use the pro longwear foundation and I love it!

I’m a big fan of MAC, in fact that’s an understatement as most of my cosmetics box consists of their products – they’re just so long lasting and wear so well – I’m yet to try a creme blush and this looks like the perfect mix/consistency – I do prefer my blushes a bit more pinky but I bet this looks fabulous on you :)

Mac truly has the best blusher shades- loving this one! Check out ‘dainty’ a pretty pale pink I dab on the apples of my cheeks every morning! It’s really cute and fresh! Love your blog, perhaps take a look at mine?;) x
