. STRIPED PENCIL SKIRT .
It’s clear to me I want to be French. When I’m drunk I speak French, I love the French accent, the Parisian style, Cannes, red wine, cheese and french bread, outside dining, laid back chic and the romance of the city. It’s no wonder, every now and then I see myself trying to give my looks a slightly french twist. Whether that was my latest post with a breton tee and boyfriend shorts (here) or todays look which is seemingly very ‘riviera darling’. Just take me to the South of France already.
This outfit is actually one I wore absolutely ages ago, back in April/May I think, which I just keep forgetting to blog and share with you all. I actually featured the skirt in a really laid back outfit post, here, back in May. The look was definitely a go to work look for me, so with this outfit I decided to make it slightly more evening ready and a tad more glamorous … naturally planning trips for my non existent trip to the South of France.
I wanted to keep the look relatively nautical so I styled the skirt with my fitted Misguided body con dress which I wore underneath. It’s such a cute, easy wear thin tshirt dress that it’s really great for wearing underneath skirts too. I accessorised with gold all over … adding my chunky gold link necklace from H&M and my gold stu H&M bangle. As well as my usual every day jewellery (Michael Kors watch and multiple rings).
My Daniel Footwear shoes went with the look like an absolute dream. They’re so sophisticated that they really gave the outfit a nudge in the classy direction – which never goes amiss! They’re also wedges, which would definitely help when i’m boarding my non existent yacht on my South of France coastal tour.
What do you think of my Riviera inspired outfit? Are you a fan of French style and what do you think of this nautical striped skirt?

I looove this outfit and you look amazing in it :) It’s so strange because I keep reading about the South of France throughout the blogosphere! I head off on my hols down to St Tropez tomorrow as well. I’ve wanted to go for AGES and now I’m lucky to finally be going! Shame I haven’t got any nautical inspired outfits this year :( it’s usually one of my favourite looks.
Great post :)
