Autumn, like Spring, is a mix of winter and summer garments styled outside their usual purpose, either to transition you to warmer weather or to layer up in preparation for cooler months. These seasons really show clothes in all their ‘versatile’ glory. I love to see how looks can be altered to accommodate changed climates and for that reason, I actually quite like Spring and Autumn.
This is an outfit I wore back in April, as Spring was transitioning into Summer. It’s been in my drafts for absolutely months and I think now’s a pertinent time to share this look (better late than never?) as it’s something I’ll definitely be looking to wear again this Autumn.
A maxi skirt is a super easy way to transition your wardrobe season on season, into Spring you can easily style a maxi with a silk cami, summer sandals and cute denim jacket, and coming into Autumn a cosy knitted jumper and some pumps helps upgrade the a look for colder weather.
What do you think of this Autumnal look? Do you have any tips for transitioning your looks into Winter?

I just love the contrast of the mint green with the leather coat. I loved mint green colours all through the summer so it would of been a shame to put them away now its autumn!

That mint sweater is amazing! I am working on expanding my wardrobe when I realized last week that I was wearing eight year old clothes from my first year of college (I don’t have to dress up for work). I have no idea where to start though :)
