I’m having a love affair. Terrible I know. I hadn’t planned it at all, It just sort of happened, crept up one me, festered over time. At first I thought it was nothing, just an appreciation of something beautiful, but then it developed, the more and more I saw it, the more I couldn’t stop thinking about it, wondering where I could find it, stalking it online. It became an obsession too quickly … I lost all control! I’m having a love affair … with all things Tartan!
The above is all true … it’s my way. I find an item, a trend, a product I love and then I just become obsessed. Over night I become infatuated by said object, it only ever gets put to rest once I find myself that item, and have it safely stored in my very own wardrobe where I can sneak a casual glimpse, steal a little stroke, or heaven forbid … slip the little bugger on!

A pair of tartan trousers have been at the heart of my obsessions for the last month or so. I have to say, Fashion week didn’t help … tartan sprawled across the streets only set to spur on my infatuation. I browsed endlessly online, in store and through blogs trying to find myself the perfect pair of trousers. Christ I visited Zara about 5 times in one week awaiting their new stock. Thank god I finally put the issue to rest when these beautiful, thick, chic tartan trousers came online (Zara nonetheless). I ordered them immediately (along with this skirt) and on returning from my holiday this weekend, found them waiting on my doorstep, like an obedient little pup.
Naturally I wore them immediately … styled with a simple cami and my geek chic leather shine shoes. I’m still working out all the styling routes with these trousers … a simple pair of stilettos would look very nice too I feel. As wood a cosy cream knit jumper – oversized to counter balance the fitted trouser style.
