CHANNELING YOUR INNER ANIMAL

October 22, 2013

. FRENCH CONNECTION LEOPARD PANTS .

I genuinely thought leopard print was going to go out of fashion this year, it’s been a good 2 years of leopard print gracing our high street and instead of being phased out, it’s actually gradually intensified. No more subtle print & soft colour palettes, we’re now talking full blown, bold, can’t miss it, leopard print. I for one am embracing this with open arms.
I’ve got quite a large selection of leopard print clothes now, i’ve been adding to my collection slowly over the last few years, and as with the nature of the trend, I too have gradually intensified my embracing of the trend. Moving from tops or accessories, to full blow leopard print trousers. I’m not sure even I could have predicted this?
. French Connection Leopard Print Trousers £69.99 . Zara Camisole . Marni Heels .
. Mulberry Willow Clutch .

These trousers were a little treat to myself a month or so ago, I loved them when I first saw them and after trying them on a few times decided to be brave and embrace the statement trousers. I was slightly concerned about whether or not they’d suit me, naturally my initial opinion was that unless my legs miraculously lost 4 inches i’d look terrible & have unsightly sausage legs, but i overcame this fear and decided to embrace it anyways, sausage legs or not.

I’m so glad I did buy these, as not only do they look pretty cool (in my opinion) they’re also the most comfortable fitting trousers I own and so easy to wear and style. I’ve worn them multiple times since buying them and they made a great travelling outfit on my holiday to turkey too.

I’ve styled them up & down and I think they work well for either occasion. In this instance a cream cami and some block heels were the perfect accompaniment for a dinner date outfit.

What do you think of the leopard print trend? Have you embraced the print? Do you like this look?
