A little while ago I decided to stop using foundation as I found it started to clog up my skin and triggered a really bad bout of spots for me. As a teenager I never had spots and so getting spots as an adult was really disheartening. I’ve since discovered the mild bout of acne was triggered from my pop pill Cerazette, but given my suseptability to migraines there was no other pill option. Anyway, I also found that all the foundations I tried left my skin feeling rather dry and unhealthy which I also really didn’t like. So in a bid to change my routine I started using tinted moisturisers and liquid cover up instead – if you check my beauty section you’ll see a number of reviews and tips i’ve learnt over the last 2 years or so.
I have products I love and live by – Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown tinted moisturisers, MAC cover up etc. But I recently discovered another product that has really converted me and is now my tinted moisturiser of choice. The Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser. This product, despite being oil free, is still extremely hyrating and offers a much stronger coverage than the oil variety. Since discovering this variation of the product, it’s now my go to tinted moisturiser and I absolutely love how it makes my skin look and feel.
I have the ‘natural’ colour which was matched to my skin tone – it’s the perfect colour but still gives my skin a healthy looking glow. It’s perfect for winter too, where you want a tad more coverage and a bit more of a tan lift. I really recommend it.
Have you tried Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser? Which products do you use for your base makeup?

I haven’t tried a tinted moisturiser for years, but if I were to get one it would definitely be from Laura Mercier. I have heard amazing things about them and would love to go for a matching :o). Xx

I tend to use tinted moisturiser in the summer months as I prefer a lighter fresher look. I hadn’t tried this Laura Mercier one though, usually use benefit’s you rebel.
This sounds lovely though, oil free is always appealing as my skin is prone to breaking out and getting clogged :)

I would love to try this but I worry I could be allergic. I love the Laura mercier mineral powder but I had a bad reaction to the primer do its left me a little reluctant to try some of her bases. I love bobbi browns bb cream at the moment. X
