LAID BACK LUKE

November 13, 2013

. DENIM PINAFORE .

I appreciate i’m being rather contradictory of late with my outfit posts – mixing cosy winter warmers with somewhat tropical summer looks. I apologise … but what’s a season to stop us getting our legs out. Right?

. Bank Dungaree Dress c/o . Topshop Sandals & Breton Tee . Anthropologie Fedora .
Todays outfit post is rather summery I know, but along with my obsession of fur (NB: yesterdays post) is also an obsession with denim dresses. I’m sure by now you are all fully aware of this obsession. This isn’t only denim shift or body con numbers, but also my 2013 discovery of pinafores / dungarees. This little dungaree dress was something I got back in the summer from Bank (it’s a  Glamorous number) and I don’t feel quite ready enough to let it go just yet.
In the summer I wore it frequently styled with a casual tee (breton is the tee of choice) and my Topshop heeled sandals (my favourite summer shoe) – as you can see here. But I’m now thinking about how to take this style into Autumn / Winter …. i’m thinking wooly tights and chunky ankle boots with a long sleeved fitted tee and chunky knit cardy?

What do you think – is this outfit transitional into winter? How would you style a denim dungaree dress for the nippier climates?

Great look! I could totally see layering that with thick tights and a turtleneck underneath for winter. Such a versatile dress!

I love this, but doubt I’d be able to stand the bare legs!

      Hmm maybe…
