Tartan is my new favourite thing, there’s absolutely no denying it. I’ve starting to build a little collection of Tartan dresses, accessories, trousers & home decor. It’s not a trend I ever disliked, but it’s certainly one that this time around in the trend cycle i’m falling more in love with.

When RARE fashion asked me to pick a little treat from their site this tartan dress was my immediate choice. The combination of leather and tartan was like a dream come true and I love the shift cut of the dress too. It was actually a huge hit with my family too and so to spread the festive love i’ve given it to my mum who absolutely loved it. That’s the great thing about having a mum and 2 sisters all about the same size (and shoe size) … wardrobe swapping galore.
I actually wore this dress the other weekend and added a pair of chunky black heels to dress it up a touch, it’s a great dress for transitioning from day to evening wear and perfect for the party season with it’s festive colour tone.

I love this dress – it looks like it really suits you! Shift dresses are my favourite kind of dress at the moment (they may even be beating out skater dresses as my all time favourite style!) and I’m a massive fan of tartan too. This might be making it on to my Christmas/birthday want list!
