. MISSGUIDED FUR JACKET .
Before the rain hit the UK and drowned away any hope of dry pavements & clear skies, I took to the day with my fur jacket and animal print fur ankle boots. Two such items which are now safely packed away, protected from the extremities, until said rain storm has reluctantly passed away. Fur (faux) is a favourite of mine, particularly in winter, but they’re sadly only garments which can come out to play in the most perfect of weather … any touch of rain and they’re doomed for the cupboard through fear of getting ruined.
. Missguided Fur Coat ℅ . ASOS Jacquard Dress . Boden Leopard Ankle Boots ℅ . Anthropologie Fedora .
This outfit is something I wore a few weekends back, before Christmas day, and is an outfit I really love. Bold and clashing, sure, but I feel like it sums me up quite well – an outfit thrown together because I love each element, and not necessarily because they actually go. Despite writing a ‘style’ blog, colour coordination and outfit styling isn’t necessarily something I’d say I was good at, instead I love clothes, I like to make outfits, whether or not they’re text book coordinated. I’m sure this outfit is a hideous clash for some trained eyes, but for mine, it depicts MOI.
The shift dress is my favourite jacquard number from ASOS, this style staple of mine has seen me through spring, summer and winter and was a seriously good investment almost a year ago now. I styled this dress up for a bit of a dressy day look, with my new Boden leopard print ankle boots (oh how I love these) and my snuggly fur jacket. I’ve got my hat flair back lately too, so this golden oldie fedora from Anthropologie felt back home placed upon my head … it’d been a while.
Are you a clothing coordinator, or more like me, and wear what you love regardless of whether it clashes or not?
