. LAVISH ALICE SKORT SUIT .
I’m not sure if i’ve actually worn a skort since about 1995, it’s funny how trends swing around. Much like the cigarette pant, the skinny jean & even the androgynous trouser suits of the 80’s which are now filling my wardrobe up to the brim, trends that came & swiftly went (can you remember how much you hated drainpipe jeans as a kid, it was all about flares) are now making a comeback, and look who’s embracing them with open arms. Such hypocrites we are.

This little skort suit was too hard not to love though, white (tick), structured (tick) and featuring a skort (tick). I’m coveting the two piece in a big way anyway right now (seriously you should see my wardrobe, it’s quite amusing) and i’ve ventured from floral co-ord, to my tailored Reiss short suit & floral Zara short suit, even to a boxy French Connection trouser suit, there’s no two piece I don’t love and so trying out the new Skort look was a must.
Given i’m also now seemingly obsessed with my birkenstocks, I teamed the white duo with my simple sandals & a colourful DKNY clutch. I’m really loving a smart look teamed with understated shoes, not only does it make things SO much more comfortable, it actually looks kinda cool (at least I like to think so). I’ve actually been wearing my birkenstocks with everything to work this week, you may have spotted some looks here and here.
