It’s getting to that point in Summer, where Autumn Winter collections are debuted, our heat wave days start to diminish, and the golden tan is rapidly fading. At this time of year I long for a final bout of summer sunshine (e.g. I need to get a late summer holiday booked) but I also start to get secretly excited for my Autumn wardrobe. Chic overcoats, my trusted ankle boots, androgynous trousers & even cosy wooly hats (okay too far maybe).

Whilst i’m not pulling out the winter wardrobe just yet, I am starting to add some late summer layers onto my looks, think leather jackets, chic summer coats & pastel or cream knit jumpers. This chic white jacket from Missguided is my current jacket du jour. The white makes it summer perfect, but the long sleeves help keep you a little warmer as the sun goes down. I teamed my white jacket with my Chicwish white shift dress last week when the weather dipped a little. I kept my accessories seasonally acute with my cobalt DKNY clutch & my strappy (killer) duck egg blue sandals. This sort of look is the kinda outfit that will be carrying me through from peak Summer to Early Autumn.
I’ve even treated myself to a couple more transitional seasonal pieces, any old excuse to shop, this Zara trench & French Connection Sleeveless blazer are my latest investments & i’m exciting to get some wear out of them.
