. TOPSHOP SATIN STRIPE A LINE DRESS .
If you’ve heard anything about Dubai, then you’ve probably probably heard about Friday brunch. If not, then you need to! Given the working week in Dubai is Sunday- Friday, Friday’s in Dubai are the new Saturday and following a heavy Thursday in Dubai’s finest bars many expats and especially visitors like to cure their hazy heads with even more decadence by tapping up in the infamous Friday brunches. Now i’m sure these are vast and varied, but the ultimate Friday brunch is held at the Park Hyatt Dubai, the hotel I happen to be staying in. It’s no timid affair, at over £120 per head it’s a bit of a luxury event to be taken with the upmost excitement. It’s a fancy pants affair with lobster, champagne and caviar on tap for 4 solid hours. The dress code is of course smart, and so i’m taking the opportunity to showcase one of my new purchases which has been dutifully having in my wardrobe since purchase awaiting for the right occasion to debut. Today’s the day …
. TOPSHOP SATIN STRIPE A-LINE DRESS £70 . ZARA PUMPS . CELINE NANO .
This dress is probably almost as infamous as Dubai’s Sunday brunches, the satin Topshop A-line striped dress. I’m not keen on buying fad trends, but this dress is an absolute classic and could quite understandably be a staple in many peoples wardrobe. It’s classic, figure hugging, curve shaping design is a fabulous flatterer, drawing attention to your waist and legs and sweeping tidily over your hips and boobs. It’s a dress which fits my body shape perfectly, making it also a comfy little number to slip on for a low key party (or brunch in this case). The capped shoulder sleeves ensure your modesty is maintained and that the legs are the show piece of the look. Clearly with such attention on the pins a good old pair flattering pointed pumps are the dream partner in crime. I opted for my Zara navy pumps, which technically shouldn’t go, but i’m sure after a few glasses of champagne no one will notice (If only i’d packed my Choo’s it would have made for the perfect first outing for them). My Celine Nano was of course the perfect bag to finish off the look, compact, chic and effortlessly demure.
So there we go, Friday brunch dubai style. I might have to pack my santa pants into dearest Celine, as one things for certain, a brunch buffet of this standard will leave me rolling out the restaurant Violet Beauregarde (Charlie & The Chocolate Factory FYI).
Have you ever experienced a Friday brunch in Dubai? What do you think of my outfit for the occasion?

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. http://www.robecart.com
