After putting up two Christmas tree’s and enjoying rather a lot of festive beverages this weekend I’m definitely getting in the party mood now. There’s something about christmas time which makes makes me feel all warm, bubbly and happy. It’s probably one of my favourite times of year and I love celebrating the season with my nearest and dearest as much as feasibly possible. Clearly all this celebrating comes with a fab little excuse to get dolled up & put on my prettiest frocks ready for a little partying! Which is why our latest Project Take 10 collaboration comes at the most perfect time, party dressing with Free People!

Party dressing in the festive period is a fabulous affair in my mind, I have a few dresses which become my ‘go to’ party frocks each season, usually black, studded with a little subtle glitz! This Free People slinky

black number is the perfect addition to my collection and completely in keeping with my own festive style. Studded, loose fitting (making room for lots of mince pies) and subtly bohemian (my favourite thing about all of Free Peoples collections) it makes for the perfect low key but equally glamorous festive dress!

I always like to keep my Christmas party look styled slightly more ‘down’ than uber dressy! So i teamed my dress with these chunky / pointy Zara heels & my favourite teddy bear coat. There’s nothing like throwing an oversized coat on top of a super feminine outfit to give it a little Edie Sedgwick touch!
