I’m not sure i’ve ever felt more ready for the weekend, seriously #TGIF. It’s been an exhausting week, my eyes are puffy, my body is sleepy & I’m just generally ready to zonk out on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good movie. At times like this, my fashion becomes far more basic, throwing on the absolute ‘no fuss’ items in my wardrobe, and comfort and cosiness number one on my tick list. On these days my outfit will go one of two ways, pajamas and cashmere bed socks, or baggy jeans and a cosy sweater. Clearly when leaving the house is a requirement, the latter is called upon!

MOM jeans are my new favourite thing in the denim world. I know it’s a bold statement given my recent tirade of denim garments and outfits, but it’s true. I decided the boyfriend wasn’t quite made for me, but the MOM, perhaps it was! High waisted, worn and loose fitting, and cropped, fitted ankles. They’re the ultimate in relaxed, laid back, effortless denim. I went on a SERIOUS hunt to find these jeans, and most importantly find a pair that fitted as I wanted (I even tried on 12 pairs of the same jean before settling). I always find jean shopping absolutely heinous (made even worse by my weird mentality on not wanting to buy anything other than my usual size – ridiculous I know), anyway, after multiple unsuccessful trips, stores and jean dramas, I decided the Topshop MOM jean was the one for me (however, to get the look I wanted, and to ensure I could still breathe I did actually size up … unheard of for me, but the right decision in the end as I wanted a more laid back fit opposed to skin tight)! It was also a close shave between these American Apparel MOM jeans & these Whistles MOM jeans, but in the end the Topshop ones came out trumps!

I love them so much i’ve worn them on every possible opportunity already, my favourite look so far is the jeans styled with my Whistles ‘Tres Bien Merci’ sweater, with a simple pair of leather converse to finish things off. No fuss, weekend ready  & massively comfortable! I’m 100% converted!
