BRITISH SUMMER TIME

. A RATHER BRITISH SUMMER DAY OUT AT ASCOT .

Yesterday Jase and I headed to Ascot with friends for a day full of champers, sunshine, picnics & summer frocks. I’m not sure what more you could want for the perfect British summer day out. I made the most of the occasion and gave my new Reiss dress a little debut, and we spent the day enjoying the races (winning on all but one race too), popping too many bottles of fizz and lapping up the sunshine that graced us for the day. Perfection.

I took my olympus along just in case I managed to snap a few piccies (testing out my new 45mm 1.8 lens) and it’s delivered yet again with some great snaps despite the compact size & relative price versus my usual tech of choice, my 5D III.

I’m glad we made the most of the sunshine yesterday because in true British summer fashion, today we’re back to grey skies and wooly jumpers … the only way to recover from yesterdays summer fun is to embrace the cold, wrap up warm and hit the Electric House for a cosy brunch, a bloody mary and some blog reading. And that’s just what i’ll be doing.
