. DON’T FORGET THE IMPORTANCE OF CELEBRATING YOUR SUCCESSES .
Having just landed back in the UK and sat on my sofa for the first time in what feels like weeks, I started to feel a little reflective, reflective of my hard work & efforts and also in turn how important it is to take a moment to stop, acknowledge and celebrate your achievements too. It’s not something I do that often, praise myself or truly tell myself i’ve done a good job. But it’s so important and something I believe we should all do a little more … celebrate the big, the small and everything in between.
. 5 REASONS TO CELEBRATE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS .
#1 BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT
First things first, any achievement deserves a celebration whether it’s a pat on a back, saying well done to yourself, popping some fizz or even treating yourself to a special gift from me to me to reward yourself. When you’ve worked hard, you deserve a little recognition.
#2 IT’LL MOTIVATE YOU
There’s nothing like a little recognition or praise to spur you on to the next challenge or project, feeling that sense of achievement is a sure fire way to spur you on to do more & be open to new opportunities. There’s nothing more motivating than working hard & delivering something at the end of it. No matter how big or small.
#3 FEEDBACK IS KEY FOR PROGRESSION
Accepting your achievements and acknowledging your failures is really important in your own development … by understanding your mistakes and your successes you’ll better learn for the future. It’s always good to give yourself and others feedback, things you loved and thought were brilliant, and things you could do to make it even better next time around. Giving positive feedback and celebrating achievements is as important as giving constructive advice and tips too.
#4 IT ENCOURAGES HARD WORK
If you reward yourself for your hard work, you’re more likely to WANT to work hard in the future. If you work your butt off and get no recognition for your efforts and achievements, it makes you feel as though ‘whats the point’ in doing that in the future. But by taking a moment to say well done to yourself & celebrate your own achievements, you’ll feel motivated, ready & prepared for other periods of hard work.
#5 RECOGNITION ACCOUNTS FOR A LOT
Celebrating your successes is also a very important factor in acknowledging, accepting & reinforcing your own value and worth. After all if you don’t believe in your hard work and effort, why would anyone else? You must believe in you, as much as anyone else, if not more, and so recognising and celebrating your successes and accepting and learning from your mistakes will truly help you understand & believe your own value and worth. Something that’s critical in business.
And as Pavlov’s dogs has shown, positive reinforcement & conditioning is a great way of encouraging a behaviour, and knowing that hard work pays off & makes you feel great, is a great motivation for future work. I personally am a big believer in rewarding myself after I do some great work, work super hard on a project or get a promotion or achieve something at work – it’s an amazing feeling to celebrate something you’ve achieved and there’s nothing better than that warm, glowing & proud feeling.
Are you good at celebrating your own successes? What do you do to celebrate & reward yourself?

It’s definitely important to sit down & reflect. You only realize your achievements after you look back & see how far you’ve come. I love the button down skirt. :]

This is so timely as I just mentioned in my vlog how I feel others are doing well and that I’m not getting feedback/feeling like I’m growing enough. Acknowledging what you HAVE achieved and HOW you work in the industry is so important, and using it as fuel to your blog fire makes you work better!
