. THE ALL NAVY EDIT .
Defining ones style is not an easy thing to do in my opinion, especially not when from one day to the next you find yourself embracing another side of your personality or reflecting a different mood from the day before. For me, my style is eclectic, one day it’s classic & feminine, the next it’s minimalist and verging on edgy (verging). Some days I love a form fitting tailored look, some days I can’t think of anything else. But I actually quite embrace this sartorial mash up, it keeps things interesting & means I always dress based on how I feel, what I like and what I think looks okay on me.
It also means i’m open to being inspired & trying new things every now and then. Of course pinterest often becomes a huge source of my inspiration, and more often than not I find myself pinning looks that I either haven’t before sported or ones that I’d one day love to give a go. This all navy edit is one such ensemble, inspired by the pages of pinterest, I decided to give it a go (after all Navy is probably my favourite clothing colour).
I’d already purchased a few navy items in my wardrobe over the last year, but the one thing that was missing was that classic tailored wool coat … that was until I fell in love with this Whistles Maggie Wool Coat and managed to bag it at 50% off. Fate I like to think (and it’s now sold out). The wool coat works perfectly with my Whistles navy trousers & COS knit dress. The only add on which I might throw in next time is a classic white shirt underneath.
How would you describe your style? Do you mix it up like me?
