Outfit

Strut

March 16, 2012

Another little purchase I made this month, oh dear, when I write all my posts it suddenly dawns on me how much I’ve spent. haha, harsh reality. Anyway, this suede & chiffon dress is from a little boutique in Covent Garden called Fan Place. The boutique stocks some really fab seasonal items, it’s particularly  good for blouses with sequin collars and beautiful bright chiffon dresses. It actually seems to stock all the same clothes as neverfullydressed.com … with the added bonus of being able to try them on. So, to cut a boring story short,  I picked up this top the other day and got a cheeky 20% off (always a bonus) and am actually really pleased with my little find.
This sort of dress is really up my street at the moment, I love the prospect of plain A-line dresses teamed with mega heels and a smart blazzer or funky aztec cardy. It’s the whole casual chic thing that always just looks so effortlessly awesome. I’d normally team this dress with a belt, but I happened to be in Bristol when I took these photos and annoyingly forgot my waist belt. Despite my initial minor break down, it actually looks pretty cool just left au natural.
The dress actually has a see through back (with a suede feel front) which looks stunning, but I am yet to work out how to wear this to it’s full potential. For this outfit I just teamed it with a long vest top and tights but it would be nice to make something out of the back. Maybe a lace or print bralet …. then it’s just the bottom half to deal with … maybe with my high waisted leather trousers?
What do you think of the all nude look? If you have any tips or ideas on how to style this dress, i’d love to hear them?

Love this look! Looks lovely with the blazer – great for spring. The shoes are very Jeffrey Campbell. Where are these from?

      Love the outfit!
I’d style it with bright and bold leggings, layered necklaces and a black shoe, but to let that v. pretty dress shine – definitely wear it as you have here. :)

I seem to always comment on every single post telling you that you look good, but you honestly consistently pull out such amazing outfits!
Love that dress, I love clothing that is quite simple but doesn’t appear it when you wear it teamed with other items, if that makes any sense at all?! Haha.
