Last week I entered a blog competition and was unbelievably lucky enough to be the winner of the £50 Sugarhill Boutique voucher that was up for grabs. Hell Yes (I was so excited). I’d already browsed the website a million times and knew exactly what I wanted. I was so excited when I got home from Madrid on Sunday night to see my Sugarhill Boutique package waiting for me on the kitchen table. There was no way I could resist not wearing my gorg new Soiree dress straight away. Here’s how I styled it:

Actually, the majority of this outfit is new, let alone just the dress. I picked up this gorgeous blazer in Madrid at the weekend, it’s from the store Bershka and is such a nice fit and I thought it was perfect for dressing things up and it has a cool country esque feel to it. The ring and necklace were both Madrid purchases too, both from an amazing boutique in Malasana (3 euros each if you can believe it). The shoes I’ve already told you about (I snapped them up just before I went away), but I am still loving them and am still in awe of how actually comfy they are.

It’s not only new clothes I’m sporting this week, I’ve actually just upgraded my skincare regime with some new beauty products too. I tend to be fairly relaxed when it comes to self maintenance and skin care, which isn’t a good thing. I’m usually pretty average at remembering to take my make up off, and tend to be very lame at giving my skin some seriously deserved TLC. But I’ve decided to set myself a belated NY resolution to start looking after my skin. This means taking my makeup off EVERY night, making sure I wear some night cream and also using some energising moisturiser in the mornings to keep my skin hydrated, soft and healthy. I’ve been doing this for a couple of days now, using some new skin care products from Yves Rocher and I’m really impressed with how good my skin feels (and hopefully looks) already.
