PEG LEG TROUSERS

Despite the fact that yellow has never really been a colour i’ve coveted, in fact i’m not even sure it’s a colour i’ve actually worn before now, something seems to have shifted in my taste and all of a sudden I can’t get enough of the bold, bright and fresh yellow colour! This month i’ve splurged on two yellow  garments, firstly my suede A line mini skirt which I featured Tuesday on my blog, and secondly is this pair of bold peg leg trousers. An absolute sales bargain, reduced down to £9. It would have been rude not to buy them!

I’d actually spotted these trousers back in late summer, when I was really feeling the two piece. The peg leg trousers come with a matching mustard yellow blazer which just looked too cool on the website. For some reason I resisted, I think my embracing of a new colour needed to be a slow one, not a double wammy bright yellow two piece, but even still the look has been in the back of my mind since! When I popped online to buy my suede mini I spotted these in the sale reduced down to £9, which personally has to be my best sales purchase ever, so I quickly added them to my basket & checked out! I wasn’t actually sure they’d suit me, one of those pipe dreams where you really want something to suit you, but when they arrived in the post & I popped them on, I was actually pleasantly surprised how cool they actually were!

Given the trousers are seriously statement, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit as plain and minimal as possible! A black tee & my Office strappy ankle boots seemed to work well, and left the tackling to the pantaloons! In the summer I really want to style them up with strappy heeled sandals & a chic billowy shirt!
