. WHISTLES DENIM & RAG AND BONE KNIT .
For those of you who visit mediamarmalade daily, I can only apologise for the late arrival of todays post! I seem to be having the most manic January which means juggling my blog, work and trying to have a life has become increasingly tricky (In fact, so much so that this weeks How To post will be centred on the topic)! Anyway, better late than never right, so today’s post is probably one of my favourite winter warmer outfits!
The UK is at freezing point right now, even with the heating on, a fire burning and three hot water bottles with me i’m still shivering (I’m always cold though to be fair), so despite earlier this week thinking that spring clothes may be making a more regular appearance, todays weather has made me eat my own words. Boy was it cold! On days like this I just want to wrap up, pile on layers and live under a blanket! The latter clearly isn’t very practical, so layering and wrapping up it is!
This look is probably one of the warmest ensembles yet. Despite the open shoe and the ripped knee, it’s actually a really warm outfit. The rag and bone knit jumper popped on over this ASOS boyfriend shirt makes for a super snuggly top half, my camel Missguided duster coat was the perfect finishing touch, given my upper half was so snug, it compensated for the slightly more ‘exposed’ bottom half!
These pumps are a fab little addition to my shoe cupboard and were a complete surprise from the lovely ladies over at Boden who decided that a little surprise delivery would make Blue Monday a little more #BloomMonday. They sure were right, it literally made my January to receive such a lovely gift!!
Tomorrow morning Jase and I are off to Bruges, where apparently it’s even colder than it is here, so this little combination will definitely be coming with me!
How are you tweaking your outfits for this seriously cold weather? PS, if you have any tips for Bruges please let me know, i’ve not been before!
