When summer draws to an unwelcome end, or when summer proves not to be summer after all, I always struggle to accept that I have to wrap up in a zillion layers and put my summer purchases to the back of my wardrobe. Sob Sob Sob. This Summer has been particularly saddening as we’ve not really had a constant flow of summer sunshine & beautiful weather to allow us to rock our summer essentials, however, I’ve decided not to let this defeat me, and so I’m now going for the transitional look, to cling on to my summer clothes that little longer but without freezing my tits off.
So I featured this skirt on my blog last week, a Zara bargain & an item i’d been lusting after for quite a while. The only problem is, swiftly after purchasing it, the sun decided to disappear. damn it. But as mentioned, I haven’t let this stop me. So for this outfit, I decided i’d wear my skirt to keep summer alive, but team it with a super cosy warm knit jumper to make sure I was suitably dressed for this crazy ass weather.

I always admire girls who layer things so casually, the whole loose, flowing, effortless look, which always just looks so perfect yet effortless. Cue Sincerely Jules, The Olsens etc … they do this look to perfection. Anyhow, this was my little attempt to achieve the style myself. As I mentioned in the other post when I wore this skirt, it is actually quite loose & so teaming it with a casual dip hem knit jumper sort of worked quite well. I added my new heels from Runway Shoes to give it a little classy edge, any excuse really to whip out these bad boys.
