Every now and then, whether it be through work, friends or family, I end up attending a super glamorous event and am poised with that age old question. WHAT SHALL I WEAR? I have a gorgeous studded French Connection dress, which since my graduation over 3 years ago which I bought it for, has been my absolute go to dress. It’s mini, black, and has beautiful stud detail. It cost me £160 but genuinely has been so worth it. But, sometimes you need something a little more glamorous, a little more modest and a little more oooh la la. This is where this post comes in:
As you’ll have seen in yesterdays post, I’m not adverse to a maxi dress, although it’s not often I go to it when it comes to dressing for events. However, a little while ago now Verb dresses got in contact with me asking if I’d like to check out their evening gown collection. Clearly this was a very exciting prospect and I loved the idea of getting all dressed up and feeling special.
I have quite a defined taste, and so I was really pleased to have seen this dress in the Verb collection as it’s an absolute beauty and definitely my kind of evening dress. I love the mauve colour – there’s something about it this month clearly (note my mauve dress post on Wednesday) and the cut of the gown is so pretty with the chiffon detail on the front and the gorgeous gem detailing on the bandeau element of the top.
Sadly I don’t have anywhere to wear this to in the very immediate future, but the style of the dress would make it perfect for a Summer evening event and even a winter event. This is absolutely a long term investment piece and one to keep safe for all those special occasions. Maybe i’ll put this on for Jase’s Birthday garden party tonight hehe ;)

What with proms & company events all over the show, every single one of us girls always wants to look our best, dress to impressed, and absolutely NOT be wearing the same thing as another event attendee. Probably the situation from hell for the majority of us. Now this is where Verb pulls out the next stop, when you buy or order a dress they make not of the event and date your intending to purchase it for (if required) and they will then guarantee no other person attending that event will purchase the same dress. UH HELLO!! How good is that? Stress over. The dresses are beautifully packaged, all wrapped, bowed, boxed and supplied with a suit/dress cover for safe keeping. I was VERY impressed.
So a little glam on this hopefully glorious UK Saturday. After a lovely wine and steak filled night with Jase lsat night, we’re attending Bristol Harbour Festival today followed by a HUGE barbie in the sun this afternoon. Heaven.
What do you think of this stunning evening gown? Do you like the style? Do you have any events coming up soon?
