. A LITTLE UPDATE ON LIFE LATELY .
2015 has been a bit of a mad one so far for me, it’s only been around 3-4 weeks but a lot seems to have happened and so I thought i’d take a little time out and use todays post to share a few of the things i’ve been getting up to and also a little bit of what more is to come too!
BLOG: Well first up is of course my blog relaunch. I’m sure by now you’ve seen that my little www dot is a little more chic than it’s former self. This year I decided I would upgrade my site and finally make all the changes I’d been dreaming up and wishing for, it was a pretty nerve-wracking process and i’m still working on getting everything perfect for you all, but overall i’m super chuffed I made the decision and the upgrades I have. If you missed my relaunch feature you can give it a read here, and if you’re interested in upgrading your own site you might want to give this a read here too!
I’m still getting everything in place, but the key thing I want to ensure is that all my lovely readers are still getting my content & easily reading my daily posts. So if you haven’t already, then make sure you subscribed & check that you’re still receiving my posts into your blog feeds. You can follow mediamarmalade on any of these sites – following on bloglovin here, like my Facebook page here, catch me on twitter, instagram and pinterest. You can still get my posts in your blogger feed too, simply pop my URL in the ‘add’ blog section.
WORK: Work has been rather mental the last three weeks or so, not least since my promotion to Business Director was formally announced. I’m so proud and excited to have got my promotion and sometimes can’t quite believe what I have achieved. But as with any promotion, my responsibilities and work loads have increased and i’m currently extremely busy on a ton of projects for my clients plus an exciting business pitch i’m working on!
SOCIAL: It’s so easy when you’re busy to forget to spend time seeing your friends and family, and even actually spending quality time with your boyfriend or house mates. This year I’ve been popping lots of exciting social things in my calendar to make sure I dedicate some time to seeing my friends. This has been made a little easier (and more exciting) by the fact i’ve just become a member of Shoreditch House and all the houses in the group. Meaning I now have the opportunity to hang out with my friends in the lovely houses dotted around London, i’ll also be using the houses to do some work too!
GIFTS: I say gifts, but really I should just say shopping. As ever my month has been filled with far too many frivolous purchases, but actually not all of the purchases have been for me this time. It was Lizas birthday on Friday so I popped to Anthropologie and bought her the fabulous Hemsley + Hemsley cook book and these cute measuring cups (I seriously wanted them both for myself too, but settled with purchasing How To Be Parisian instead). I’m also excited to be gifting some Anthropologie goodies to someone else to, another blogger who on Valentines day will receive a surprise package picked by me especially for them (cool right, and the great news is someone is picking some surprise gifts for me too). There are so many amazing things in Anthropologie (if you follow my instagram then you’ll know how much I want pretty much everything from their collections) but I decided to choose these three items (here, here, here) for the blogger as firstly, there’s nothing better than some good stationary, let alone when it’s initialed, and a red lip is a firm favourite of the blogger i’m gifting so hopefully she’ll love the two colours I’ve picked here.
As well as this i’ve also bought myself a few clothing treats (quelle surprise), of course you already know my ASOS suede skirt well, but i’ve also been buying some new shoes in these Dune Trudy boots & these new Mango pony hair loafers & of course my Whistles loafers too (still super painful).
HEALTH: As well as treating myself to ‘How To Be A Parisian’ I’ve also been stocking up on more healthy cookbooks, i’ve become entirely obsessed with the beautiful books out at the moment and have made myself a rather large order on amazon, including Deliciously Ella’s new book! I’ll be featuring all my new books in a ‘book club edit‘ soon! As well as some new cookbooks, i’ve also got some serious new Nike sports kit which is getting me in the mood to get fit (including these freakin’ amazing trainers which I actually can’t wait to wear). I’m going to be making the most of Shoreditch House’s gym & fitness classes now too!
Voila, a little update on the last months happenings, a few little purchases I’ve made & a couple of exciting things i’ve got going on!

The social part of life is deffo something I need to work on! After a long day, all I want to do it sit on my laptop and immerse myself into blogging! Too quickly you end up not socialising very much at all!
