TRUE STRIPES

September 4, 2014

. BRETON STRIPES & REISS AMAR SHORTS .

Oh boy, the breton stripes continue. I’m not sure what’s happened to me this last month, whether it be my recent trip to France, a country that feels like a second home, spurring me on to release my inner francais or a new penchant for patterned garments, either way my love for the breton has become ever more prevalent. Not only have I picked up a cheeky French Connection breton stripe which you’ll have seen a couple of times on mediamarmalade.com already, a new Zara breton dress (coming soon, but a cheeky sneak peak here) but I also picked up a couple of garments from a local french shop whilst I was away, including this super cool breton stripe kids top which I absolutely love.
. BRETON TOP / FRANCE . REISS AMAR SHORTS . OFFICE GARLAND SANDALS . RAYBAN CLUBMASTERS .

This breton top is a really thick material making it a great transitional top from summer through to autumn. I bought a kids age 12 which made it a total bargain but also meant the sleeves were a tad short – nothing a little fold can’t hide and I do love a cropped sleeve. I teamed my new breton top with my Reiss Amar shorts for a slightly more chic look, my Office garland heels went perfectly with the combination and created a look which looked made for the cute French streets and beautiful doorways.

Are you a breton fan? What do you think of this cute combination?

Love these images, so beautiful and your shoes are so fab, such an unusual colour for shoes!

If you don’t mind me asking. how did you get that “latest posts” strip under your header? It looks amazing, the layout of your blog is so nice!

Loving all your Brittany posts! I’ve been to St Briac sur mer for the last two summers and literally discovered your blog just after I returned from my most recent holiday there. It’s so nice seeing some of my fave places in your images! Love the outfits too! xx
