And just like that, summer has gone and winter is fast approaching. But before that, Autumn. I love autumn, in fact it’s always a time of year that makes me feel a little happy, whether it’s the crisp skies, the colourful fall leaves or the bubbling of that festive feeling which starts to creep in as the nights draw in and Halloween and Bonfire night approach. Or maybe it’s that actually fall style might be my favourite of all the seasons, the opportunity for layering, the cosy knit jumper but still the opportunity to pull together a look that’s more than just an outer layer (because we all know in winter, that’s what makes an outfit). Your modesty is maintained in sensible lengths and covered up arms and legs, and all in all I end up feeling far more comfortable and at one with myself.

The other thing about Autumn style that I do really love, is the opportunity to mix trends, seasonal styles and cuts together to create a somewhat more interesting ensemble. In this look my last season leather mini skirt & cos jumper, teamed with this season midi camel sleeveless coat and my new sock boots from Topshop. I love the opportunity to bring my favourite pieces together, to mix things up and layer a look together.
