. MARC JACOBS & WHISTLES .
Spring is an exciting time of the year, as much as I love all seasons, particularly a glorious summer, there’s something about Spring that boosts everyones mood and stirs in a bout of excitement for whats about to come … sunshine, BBQ’s, longer days and light nights, picnics, festivals, flowers and tans. Spring for me is the month of hope … no matter how much I love winter and all it has to offer, when Spring comes I feel hopeful of the months ahead and excited of everything that comes with warmer climates. Not just fun with friends and family … the sartorial side of things too.

Whilst i’m not a seasonal shopper, I shop as and when I feel the need or spy some goodies I like, but this month I’ve not been able to help myself from shopping. Getting sight of all the Spring Summer collections on the high street has made it rather impossible not to get carried away and indulge in some serious retail therapy. I’ve already shared a number of my new purchases already, but today I have two more newbies to share (Ironically styled with some golden oldies – that’s the best way I feel).
These jeans were an impromptu splurge before going on holiday a week or so ago. I popped into Whistles for a little browse after finding some fab bits already in their SS14 collection. Jase very quickly spotted these jeans and so I gave them a little try on. I could not believe how perfectly they fitted me, no squeezing in, or lumps and bumps, quite literally the most perfect fitting pair of jeans I’ve ever tried. There was no debate, these were going to be mine. I’ve already been thinking up a million and one ways to style them, I think they’re fab for a laid back weekend look with loafers and a cute sweater (cue my outfit on Sunday) or styled in a slightly more sophisticated look with heels & a smart blazer for work or an evening out. I styled them here with a seriously old (yet still loved) white blazer from Topshop, my Mulberry Holly & two Topshop finds from SS13, my heeled sandals and cropped breton tee.
The finishing touch to this look, and another Spring addition to my wardrobe is this gorgeous gold Marc Jacobs watch which is a newbie in Selfridges watch collection. I’m a big fan of Marc Jacobs, I have a white rubber watch which I got for my birthday a few years back and more recently my Valentines sunnies which I just adore. This mini gold watch is perfect for spring, adding a subtle touch of glam and sophistication to my spring outfits. The gold is perfect tone for Spring Summer! I’ve been browsing Selfridges on a daily basis lately, with my birthday fast approaching i’m creating a wish list & also dreaming of the Phillip Lim 3.1 Pashli (medium or mini) in the colour sage or cloud … fingers crossed they get it stocked soon so I can gift myself a little designer treat, from me love me.
What do you think of my new Spring finds? Have you tried Whistles Jeans before? What do you think of my pretty new Marc Jacobs Watch?
