. HELLO FLAWLESS .
For my birthday last year I was given a Benefit beauty kit (the complexion set) which wasn’t only a fab gift because I love all things Benefit, but it was also fab because It introduced me to an incredible foundation which seems to tick all my boxes. Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW.
Within the kit was a mini bottle of this foundation. At the time i’d given up using foundation, completely swapping to my Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser & Dermalogica primer or Clinique primer as a base. This was largely due to my skin breaking out in spots for the first time in my life & my complexion getting increasingly dry. Whilst I loved the immediate coverage a foundation gave my skin, thoughougt the day my skin would seem to dry out and the foundation appear cakey, flakey and just not so good on my skin. I converted to tinted moisturiser (which I still use and love now) as I found it helped hydrate my skin more but also give enough coverage to give my skin an all over tint and cover. Teamed with my primer it covered flaws enough for me to ditch foundation all together, my change in beauty regime mixed with some specialised cream for my breakouts, my skin cleared up and so I stuck to this routine daily.
However in more recent months I decided to give the foundation in my set a little test. I’d actually bought myself the Hello Flawless powder before Christmas which I find absolutely brilliant, and on using this daily as a finishing touch to my beauty regime and realising how well it worked on my skin, I thought it was only fair I gave the foundation a chance too.
And boy I’m glad I did. This Benefit foundation actually does what it says on the tin .. Hydrates. Gives Flawless Coverage. And Brightens my complexion. After giving my mini bottle a whirl I ended up using it almost daily, either for days when I wanted a more flawless beauty look or for evenings out when I wanted to look a little more glammed up and less ‘au natural’. I now rotate between either my tinted moisturiser or my Hello Flawless foundation. With either of these routes my skin stays hydrated and gone are the days of flakey cakey looking skin.
Having travelled to France last week on a little ski trip, I decided to treat myself to some duty free and top of my list was the full size version of this product. The product’s usual RRP is £26.50 (worth it) but I managed to pick it up for around £21.50 at the airport, which clearly made the decision even more of a no brainer. I have a more ‘fair’ complexion and was recommended the colour Honey which is the same colour I have in my Hello Flawless powder too, it’s marginally darker than my actual skin tone so it helps give my skin a bit of healthy colour boost as well as a flawless all over tone.
I’m seriously impressed with this foundation, and having tried a lot over the years I have to say that this has suited my needs the most of any foundation i’ve tried. It’s not heavy, it is hydrating which is really important to me, but it still gives an all over quite natural looking cover. I haven’t shared pictures of it on my face, but in all my latest outfit posts I’ve been wearing the product if you fancy a little nosy.
Have you tried Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation? What did you think? What’s your favourite foundation?
